A MOMENT OF SCIENCE, PLEASE! June 10-14, 1:00-4:00
Do you want to be a scientist? Spend a week making bubbling concoctions, learn how to see constellations and how bacteria grows, and even build a bridge you can walk on! Want to know how ice cream is made? Or drop an egg from the top of a building without it cracking? During the week we will explore all different ways science is in our every day lives from chemistry, biology, engineering, astronomy, and more. We may even launch a rocket or two!
AMAZING RACE June 17-21, 9:00-Noon
Race around world with the Cubs! Working in teams, you will race around the world to complete various challenges that include Pinterest-inspired crafts, competitive races, cultural dances, and a variety of other activities as you travel from one country to the next. You will visit multiple countries, including France, China, and Brazil, all in one week. After the fun journey, we will end in our final destination of England where we will have a royal tea party complete with cookies. Don’t forget to pack your passport?
BEACH TIME BLAST June 10-14, 1:00-4:00
Are you ready to go to the beach? In this hands-on craft camp, we will be creating everything you need for fun in the sun! We will be making our very own beach bag, flip flops, sunglasses, beach balls, as well as art creations using seashells and sand. The end of this fun beach week will be a luau party complete with grass skirts and flower leis. Can't wait to see you at the beach.

CELEBRATE SCIENCE CAMP June 10-14, 9:00-Noon or June 17-21, 1:00-4:00, or June 24-28, 9:00-Noon
Happy holidays! Celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and the Fourth of July using science. Campers will investigate chemistry and physics through holiday themed science activities. Each day will focus on one holiday and include at least two engaging, hands-on experiments. Have a ball designing an Easter egg drop contraption, whipping up homemade butter for Thanksgiving dinner, and concocting a Halloween witch’s brew while learning about gravity, colloids, and exothermic reactions!
CUB CHEER June 3-7 or June 10-14, 1:00-4:00
Cheerleading camp will introduce girls to jumps such as toe touch, spread eagle, and tuck. Basic tumbling will be introduced including forward rolls and cartwheels. The girls will learn several cheers and chants in addition to dance routines.
CUBS DIG HISTORY June 3-7, June 10-14, or June 17-21, 9:00-Noon
Ready to dig up the past? In this camp, your junior cub will learn, create, and uncover the secrets of past life! Each day, your little archaeologist will excavate some new famous historical artifact. After working with their teammates and researching their artifacts, your little historian will learn all about a famous person and place in human civilization. But that's not all! Each day your scientist will recreate a famous artifact based on the day's civilization. If your junior cub digs history, learning, crafts, and adventure, this design cycle camp is for her! We can't wait to dig up the past with your junior archaeologist!
DISNEY CRAFTACULAR June 17-21, 1:00-4:00
Let’s go on a trip to Disneyworld to see all of our favorite characters! Ariel, Elsa, Cinderella, and Belle are just a few of the friends ready to make some fantastic art projects with you! During this camp we will be making crafts inspired by Disney movies all while singing along to our favorite Disney tunes! Do you love playing with cool gadgets and technology? Then this camp is for you! Join us for a creative, fun-filled week during which campers will build their own web pages, star in their own short films using iMovie and create movie trailers using iTunes! All skill levels are invited to be a part of this exciting camp!
HOOP IT UP June 17-21, 1:00-4:00 This camp is designed to provide girls quality instruction in fundamental basketball skills. Players of all levels will have the opportunity to learn and improve on basic skills, such as shooting, ball-handling and game play. The camps will be conducted by Coach Jamie Thomatis who will be assisted by the MCA basketball team.
JUNIOR CARMELETTE PIROUETTES June 3-7, 9:00-Noon or June 17-21, 1:00-4:00 Dance camp is designed to teach girls how to perform various styles of group routines. Junior campers will be introduced to jazz, pom-pon, and novelty routines. Girls will also learn basic techniques in jazz and lyrical style dances. The camp is under the direction of Mrs. Gloria Doran, assisted by the Carmelette Dance Team.

Junior Cub Camp offers an exciting line-up of activities designed to tap into the girls’ creativity, intellect, spirituality, as well as physical well being. Activities include art projects, bible crafts, games, science projects, computer games, camp songs, and a dose of games children like to play like crazy kickball, parachute fun, bowling, and circle games. The girls will spend part of their day in the gym and the other part in Café Campbell. Each week focuses on a specific theme with unique arts and crafts and other special activities to go along with the theme. From magicians and zoo animals to drum corps and pottery makers, you never know who will show up to entertain us and help us learn exciting new things.
LIONS, TIGERS, AND CUBS, OH MY! June 10-14 or June 24-28, 9:00-12:00
Ever wondered why your cat's eyes glow at night? What about how birds build such perfect nests? If you love animals, this camp is for you! Create some fun activities involving peacocks, polar bears, cows, dogs, cats, and more. Each day is themed to a different group of animals including animals you would see at the zoo, farm, or even in your own home. Learn cool things like how butter is made, how polar bears stay warm, and how animals camouflage themselves for protection. Who knows - we might even create our own animals by the end of the week!
MCA NINJA CUBS June 3-7 or June 10-14, 9:00-12:00
Are you ready for the challenge of being a Ninja Cub? Come join us for the most intensely awesome camp of the summer! Campers spend a week filled with adventurous fitness challenges that focus on team building and competition with games like relays, parachute games, extreme bowling, team challenges, and a crazy obstacle course. Becoming a Ninja Cub means focusing on individual enjoyment of fitness activity, setting personal goals, and enjoying friendly competition. It is a fun and friendly environment for all campers, regardless of fitness level.
MCA TO THE MOON June 10-14 or June 24-28, 1:00-4:00
Do you have what it takes to get to the moon and back? Create a patch for your team, then start your mission! We will build a lunar lander, design a moon colony, complete tasks with a robotic arm, and launch yourself back to earth! Campers will have so much fun learning about the history of lunar missions and exploring the engineering challenges of astronauts.
OOEY GOOEY TOO June 24-28, 1:00-4:00
Do you love slime?! Do you like making ooey gooey sticky things?! Then this fun craft camp is for you. We will be taking slime to a whole new level by making arts and crafts out of it. Projects include slime ball bracelets, glow in the dark slime animals, edible Starburst slime, Emoji slime stress balls and more! Roll up your sleeves and get ready for a sparkly, sticky, super fun time.
RHYTHM REVUE June 24-28, 1:00-4:00 You will be a part of every aspect of putting on a show of dances. Every day will begin with warm-up and instruction in technical dance elements. No previous dance experience required! During this week-long experience, campers will learn dances in a variety of genres such as pom, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary in preparation for a show on Friday. Campers will learn how to make their own backdrops, props, costumes, and stage make-up for the dance show. Family and friends are invited to attend the show of dances which will be on Friday. This camp is under the direction of Mrs. Kelly Amstutz and Ms. Madison Schultz with assistance from the Rhythm Dance team.
SECRET gARTen PARTY June 3-7, 9:00-Noon or 1:00-4:00, or June 17-21, 9:00-Noon In this creative camp we will be crafting and gardening! Campers will make fairy gardens, painted rock creatures, and beautiful bird feeders to name just a few creative, nature-inspired crafts. We will also learn about gardening and how to care for different types of plants. Campers will come home with plants and crafts daily!
Shh... There may even be a few secrets that we plant in MCA's atrium that you can spy again when you come back to visit!

Join us in the lab as we become scientists. Learn about the science of solar power, the magic of making polymer snow, the creativity inherent in coding, the rush of powerful pneumatic devices, and much more. Explore the fun side of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math and not even realize you are learning some super cool stuff! You will use technology and will leave each day with at least one project to share with your friends and family.
SUMMER IN THE SPOTLIGHT I June 10-28, 9:00-Noon (3 week camp)
Fun in the Sun at Summer in the Spotlight! Theater Camp features singing, dancing, and acting culminating in a final production of Fun in the Sum, an original musical revue featuring songs from Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Annie, and more. This three-week camp combines entertainment skills with a fun-filled theater experience. Come, join the fun!
