Choose your adventure at Mount Carmel Summer Camp! Campers will explore their individual interests and uncover new talents as they make friends and have a blast at MCA Summer Camp from June 3-28. Specialty camps are for girls entering 5th-8th grade, and Junior camps are for girls entering 2nd-4th grade. We look forward to meeting you in June. Here are a few reminders and guidelines for our summer camps:
REGISTRATION: Online registration is from March 13 to April 29 for Specialty Camps (girls entering 5th-8th grade) and from March 14 to April 29 for the Junior Camps (girls entering 2nd-4th grade). A $50 non-refundable registration fee is required for a valid registration. Our line-up of camps will be posted by early March.
DROP OFF and NOON DISMISSAL: Please drop off campers in the Assembly Center on the Louisville Street (east) side of campus. For safety reasons, the gates will not remain open throughout the day. If you need to drop off or pick up your child once the gates have closed, please go to the administrative offices which face Robert E. Lee Boulevard. Noon dismissal will also be at this same location.
MORNING SESSIONS/ BEFORE CARE: Morning sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 p.m. We will be available in the Assembly Center (5th-8th graders) and Duplantis Gym (2nd-4th graders) beginning at 8:00 a.m. for before-camp care for no additional fee. Please pick up your child by 12:00 if she is not staying for a morning session. In the event that you are running late and the gates are locked, please pick up your daughter in the administration office. AFTERNOON SESSIONS/ AFTER CARE: The afternoon sessions begin at 1:00 pm and end at 4:00 pm. Drop-off is in the Assembly Center parking lot from 12:30-1:05. After-Care services are available at an additional fee until 6:00 pm. Students who are not picked up by 4:15 will go to after-care in the Duplantis Gym. LUNCH: We are excited to offer a nutritious, delicious, and affordable lunch program. Parents can elect to pre-pay for the entire week or campers can pay with cash on a daily basis. Prepaid lunch fees may be paid online by the Friday before the camp begins or in person on Monday mornings in the Administrative Office. Online payments received over the weekend will be activated on Tuesday. Click here for more information. 4:00 DISMISSAL: We have two dismissal areas at 4:00. Campers whose last names begin with A-L will be dismissed from the parking lot area accessible on Louisville Street (same spot as arrival). Campers whose last names begin with M-Z will be dismissed from the Duplantis Gym area on Milne Boulevard. On the first day of camp, we will send home a sign with your child's last name on it, and we would appreciate it if you would display it on the windshield of your car during car pool.
CAMP FEES: At the time of registration, a list of all camp fees will be emailed to you. Payment link will be available after March 26. All camp fees are due by April 29. Any unpaid camp fees will be automatically charged to the credit card on file on April 30. 100% of the camp fees will be refunded if a cancellation is requested before April 29. 50% of the camp fees will be refunded for cancellations between April 29 and May 20. No refunds are available after May 20. Click here for more information. OFF CAMPUS CAMPS: The Soccer, Fast Pitch Frenzy, and I Feel the Need ... the Need for Speed track camps are held off-campus. Bus transportation will be provided to the fields from Mount Carmel Academy leaving at 8:45 for soccer and track camps and 8:40 for softball camp and back to Mount Carmel at noon. Parents may choose to drop off and pick up directly at the fields. Locations, special instructions, transportation forms and email addresses are included in the Off Campus Sports Camp link. Campers using MCA bus service are required to have a completed Transportation form on the first day. T-SHIRTS: Campers should wear comfortable, casual clothes. For those students involved in athletic camps, tennis shoes are required. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt on the first day of camp. If students wish to purchase additional shirts, they may pre-order online or purchase on the first day of camp for $16.00 each.
CELL PHONES: Campers are allowed to keep their cell phones with them during camp, however, they are not allowed to have them out or use them during camp hours.
